What are the 4 types of carbon steel?
Type #1:
Carbon Steel, Annealed and Cold Drawn (non-heat treated): This is a
low carbon steel that has been annealed and drawn. It is typically
used in low stress applications such as Forged Gear Blanks and
Spindles, Rolled Gear Blanks, or Drawn Gear Blanks.
Type #2:
Carbon Steel, Annealed and Hot Rolled: A low carbon steel that has
been annealed and hot rolled. This material is used in place of
Type 1 when higher strength is required such as forgings, spindles
or gears.
Type #3:
Carbon Steel, Hardened and Tempered: A high carbon steel that has
been heat treated to create a strong and tough metal. This material
is often used for knives, axles or other parts that need to be
extremely strong.
Type #4:
Carbon Steel, Cast Iron: A type of carbon steel that contains
higher levels of impurities than other types. This material is
often used for casting objects such as engine blocks or pipes.

B/L copy, 100%.Irrevocable L/C at sight, 100% Irrevocable L/C after
